This recipe is so simple yet satisfying!
We love to cook our portobello steaks in our cast-iron.
Using fresh ingredients really makes this dish.
Garnish with cilantro to vibe this dish.
Ingredients:
- 4 Large portobello mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 2 Cloves fresh garlic, minced (1 tsp)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Small avocados, mashed
- 1 Tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 Lime, juiced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Clean and dry mushrooms (remove gills if desired). Set aside.
2. Add all oil to the pan with garlic and sautee 1 min.
3. Combine garlic with oil, balsamic vinegar and soy sauce in a medium bowl. Add mushrooms and cover with the sauce on both sides. Set in fridge to marinate 30min.
4. Add mushrooms and sauce to the pan and cook 5min on each side, pouring sauce over after flipping.
5. Serve mushrooms with sauce drizzled over, then add avocado topping with cilantro garnish on top. :)
For Avocado Topping:
Combine mashed avocado, cilantro, and lime juice until well mixed. Salt and pepper as desired.
